Lavender

Young lavender plants

We're starting with lavender — lots of it!

In spring 2026, we planted about 600 Phenomenal lavender plants in 14 rows on our farm in Junction City, Kentucky.

Our first growing season has definitely been a learning experience. Between getting the plants in the ground, discovering  and remedying a field drainage issue, dealing with a long, hot, dry summer, and installing irrigation, we've had our hands full. Some plants have done really well, while others have struggled. We're learning what works as we go.

Our hope is to eventually have fields full of lavender that we can harvest for dried bundles, essential oil, and other lavender products. We'd also love to invite visitors to the farm for U-pick lavender once the plants are mature enough.

For now, we're focused on getting our young plants established and ready for their next growing season.
