We started Lavender Hive Depot in Junction City, Kentucky, in the fall of 2025. With just over four acres, a lot of plans, and plenty to learn, we've spent much of our first year getting the farm established.

So far, we've planted lavender, grown and harvested our first garlic crop, experimented with culinary herbs, and started keeping honeybees. Along the way, we've spent more time than expected installing irrigation, dealing with weeds, and figuring out what works and what doesn't.

We're starting this journal to keep track of what we're doing around the farm, from planting and harvesting to working with the bees and tackling new projects. We'll share our progress, the occasional setback, and what we learn along the way.

There's still a lot to do, and we'll see where things go from here.
